Hospitality Solutions

In order to remain competitive in the hospitality market, hotels and restaurants are increasingly seeing the need to provide patrons with on-demand Wi-Fi and hotspot access for the modern traveler’s wide array of wireless devices. Today’s on-the-go business professionals typically carry a Wi-Fi enabled laptop, Smartphone, and tablet, among others. They have come to expect to find hotspots in most businesses that they visit, especially in the hospitality industry, as a given, and will absolutely choose one business over another, depending on its internet access availability. Winncom and our partners have uniquely engineered wireless solutions for the hospitality industry.

In addition to keeping customers happy with Wi-Fi access, hotels and restaurants can greatly increase productivity of their own staff with a secure and reliable wireless network. At the point-of-activity, staff can utilize mobile devices to expedite everyday processes such as curb-side check-in for hotel guests, valet parking automation, communication between employees no matter where they are, placing food orders on the go, and many more. Winncom, along with our industry-leading vendors, will deliver a wireless infrastructure solution today that is specifically tailored to the needs of your hospitality project.

Cambium Networks – Wi-Fi 6E: Extend High Efficiency Into a New Frequency

In April 2020, the US FCC voted to allow unlicensed wireless LANs to operate in the 6 GHz band, covering frequencies from 5925 MHz to 7125 MHz. Other regulatory domains have since announced their own plans or intention to adopt rules for their particular country or region. The resulting 1200 MHz is over double the best-case scenario for wireless LAN networks in the past 25 years.

  • Up to an additional 500 MHz or 1200 MHz
  • Restricted use to the 802.11ax protocol
  • Simplified access mechanism with AFC
  • Wi-Fi 6E rules protect existing services
